Bloggin' 'Bout a Bunch of Bulgarians

I just love it when things are alliterative. It makes me all happy inside.

Today was my 2nd day of training at the fabulous Lagoon amusement park, and what an exciting place to work it is....not. Not really. It's not awful by any means, but the way it is managed is a little frustrating. The whole system is really disorganized and hard to work with. I finally started my training though, and so far I quite enjoy it! Operating rides is a lot simpler than I thought it would be, mostly, I push a button to start the ride and then let go of the button to stop it. Hardly rocket science.

The people I've been training with are awesome. They are all part of some work/travel organization that brings people from foreign countries to the U.S, where they work for 3 months, and then spend a month traveling across the country. The four I've been working with are all from Bulgaria and they're really cool. There are 3 guys; Yordan, Igor, and Dimitrishnivshnocklevich (I really had no idea how to say his name) and then a girl; Nena. The first day we trained, they mostly just sat there talking to each other in Bulgarian, but today they were a lot more friendly. I like them. Bulgarians are all right in my book. Plus they have really awesome accents. They think that Utah is hot and boring, mostly because they're all old enough to drink in Bulgaria, but not here in the states and they can't think of many other ways to pass the time. I hope I get to work with them a lot, I think they're fun.

Other than that, my life has not been exciting AT ALL, which explains my little lapse in posting. My dad just got back from a two week jaunt in Italy where he had an amazing time. I'm super jealous. The sun FINALLY came out and I accidentally fell asleep on my front lawn...resulting in a pair of bright red calves. Ouch. Also, I totally reorganized my bedroom. I'm very proud of it now. It actually looks like a bedroom instead of the messy cave of a hibernating bear!

How have all of your lives been? Any amazing adventures? (ooh look at that- I got all alliterative again!) I would love to hear about them!

Moral of the Story: Bulgarians are cool. Not quite as sexy as Asians, but cool. Also...wear sunscreen.

Feeling Like a Photo Shoot

I don't mean to come across as vain, but I really like taking pictures of myself. One of my secret shames I guess. And almost more than taking the pictures, I like dressing up for them, figuring out what to take a picture of, and then after I take the picture- making it look awesome with free online photo editors. I spend way too much time playing with said online photo editors. It's a weakness. I'm thinking of joining PEA (Photo Editors Anonymous).

Anyways, the other day it was drizzly and rainy and depressing, and I needed to do something to lift my spirits. So I got all gussied up, got my camera, got my sister, and ventured into the great outdoors.

These pictures are the result of said venture.

I think that this one is probably my favorite. If I ever become a famous musician, this picture will be my first album cover.

In case you want to know, I got the skirt at D.I. and the galoshes at Target

I love this one too. Not to toot my own horn or anything. I just have really photogenic feet.

Well, I hope you enjoy my venture into photography, I'm thinking of making one of these pictures into a button for my blog. Y'all should tell me which one of these here pictures you think would be best.

Glass Half Full of Love

Ok, I know I got a little carried away with myself the other day with all my man bashing. I apologize. Really, sorry that you had to read that. I have decided to change my outlook on life, and focus on the things that I love in the world. So, here is my list of the things in this world that I love.

                      Brittany's List of Love

  • College. I love it. I would marry it.
  • Ravioli. Truly the food of champions. You boil water, you drop it in said water, and five seconds later you have DINNER!! I'm not even kidding, I practically live off the stuff.
  • My Beta fish Fido. Hands down the sexiest fish this side of the Mississippi.
  • French Movies. Even when they yell curses at each other, they still sound ridiculously sexy.
  • Say Yes to The Dress. So what if I spend a ridiculous amount of time watching this show, and then looking at wedding dresses online? I'm a single college freshman! Give me a break!!
  • Swing Dancing. I'm taking two more swing dance classes this semester, and I think I might just quit college and become a professional swing dancer. The End.
  • Glee. In my opinion, this is the best show ever to be on TV. And one day I will marry Artie. And Puck. And Mike Chang. And Sam. And Blaine. Yes, really I will marry them all.
  • Lea Peterson. This girl is probably the best roommate in the history of the world. I love her to death.
  • Wal- Mart. Where else can you go when your apartment runs out of toilet paper at one in the morning?
  • Wearing Huge Dorky Glasses.Something about them just makes you feel better about life.
  • Mail. I don't care if it's a coupon to some place I've never heard of, I just love when I open my mailbox and there's stuff for me inside! It's like a little mini Christmas!
  • Healthy Kidneys. As a woman who has suffered through a nasty kidney infection, I learned not to take your kidneys for granted.
  • Peach Orbit Gum. I used to only chew minty flavored gum, then I discovered this peachy kind. It makes my mouth feel like a fresh summer day.
  • Zoe Deschanel If I could be any celebrity, I would be her. I think she's amazing.
  • Flirting I think I'm going to start counting flirting as my favorite sport. I just really enjoy it.
  • ROSS. Ok, I had never shopped at Ross until i got to college. You can buy shirts there for THREE DOLLARS!! I bought the cutest bra of my life there, and it was only like five bucks. That's what I call a good investment.
  • Diet Dr. Pepper. I could drink this until I exploded, and believe me-I've come pretty close.
  • Yoplait Whips. I never used to like eating yogurt, but this is so fluffy and whippy it feels like you're eating clouds.
That's about all I could think of for now, I hope you enjoy it. And I'd love to hear what kind of random things you love! you can tell me if you like. or not tell me. What e're foo. Bro....seph.....dawg.........
